Prem-Prasad = Food of Love
Prem means love/original Love to God and Prasad means sanctifyed/offered Food.
PremPrasad is active charity, the desire to support the fellow men,the poor, to partecipate and to arrange in life. it means to live solidarity and develop commiseration and to give from heart!
In the city of Vrindavan,a pilgrimage center of religious people in India,
a group of Europeans and Indians distribute Premprasad
(Kichary or Kedgeree- a dish made of rice,lentils and vegetables) -since Christmas 2007-every day of the year! Five buckets in the morning and three
in the evening....
It is prepared according to vedic regulations and offered to the Temple Deity`s
(Radha Mohan) with the deep desire to develop love to God and his creation.
This means to take responsability for the own action and to intensify the
connection to the fellow man, the creation and the nature to live together in harmony!
Kitchary is a basic healing-food of Ayurveda and often recommendet to complement a therapy because it cleans the intestinal tract and it is very
nutritious. Kitchary is rich of proteins (Mung lentils),carbohydrates (Basmati rice),
minerals,vitamins and micronutrients (vegetables,spices,ghee). it is adequate for every dosha (bodily constitiution).
